Fluorocarbon Hair Rigs

The last few years have seen the rise in the popularity of fluorocarbon hair rigs and they have certainly proven themselves to be good catchers.  Fluorocarbon is said to be very hard to see underwater and also it sinks, which is good news with regard to presenting a bait hard on the bottom.  We use three different breaking strains (9lb, 12lb & 16lb) for our fluorocarbon hair rig range, which in turn utilise appropriately sized hooks (in barbed and barbless patterns) from a size 4 which will hold just about anything that swims in British waters right down to a size 12 which is small enough to be usful for targetting small carp but also other species such as tench or barbel.
