Rocket Catfish Polyball Surface Livebait Rig (30mm Polyball) x 4

These rigs are tied on 45lb 'Kryston Quicksilver', which is a tried and tested first class 'Kevlar' material and so excellent for making catfish rigs. The rigs utilise a size 2 'Sakuma' round eye swivel and the hooks used are the classic catfish pattern, the barbed 'Sakuma' 8832. The rig features a single 30mm polyball which is tied on a length of mono to the hook. When positioned correctly it floats up to the surface which confirms that your bait is just beneath the polyball. This method of fishing for catfish can prove deadly, especially on those hot balmy summer nights. Live or dead baits can be used on this rig and it can be fished at any depth. We recommend using a run ring and 8mm rubber bead with this rig (supplied) as the reduced resistance they enable helps the polyball to float up through the water to where you require it to be.
