Rocket Pulley Pennel Rig (Impact Shield)

This rig is tied on 80lb 'Sakuma' rig body with a 30lb 'Amnesia' hooklink and penneled 3/0 & 4/0 Aberdeen hooks.  The hooks connect to a 'Breakaway' impact shield which makes the rig aerodynamic for casting and also protects the bait as the name suggests 'on impact' with the surface of the sea.  As with all our pulley rigs this rig features a pulley rig bead which helps to reduce the cheese wire effect when casting, common to pulley rigs.  This pattern of rig lends itself to fishing over rough ground and its tied in such a way that if a decent sized fish is hooked the lead will come in above the fish making it much less likely that the rig will get snagged.  A simple but very effective aerodynamic design which lends itself to fishing at medium to long range.

This rig is available in the following sizes:-

Size 1 & 1/0, 1/0 & 2/0, 2/0 & 3/0, 3/0 & 4/0 or 4/0 & 5/0 Aberdeen hooks.

Penneled hooks means two hooks together which enables you to use a more substantially sized bait.  Put your bait on the bottom hook securing with bait elastic if necessary, then wrap your hooklink around the top hook 3 times before knicking it through the top of the bait making sure that both of your hook points are unmasked.  For best results, have your top hook emerging from the opposite side of your bait to your bottom hook.
