Rocket Single Paternoster Pennel (Distance Rig For Impact lead)

This rig is designed specifically to be used in conjunction with an impact lead (not supplied).  It’s tied on 80lb 'Sakuma' rig body and features a 20lb 'Amnesia' snood and 'Aberdeen' hooks.  The impact lead makes the rig both aerodynamic for casting whilst at the same time protecting the bait as the name suggests 'on impact' with the sea.  The ultimate distance rig for a penneled bait.  This rig is available in the following hook sizes:-

1 & 1/0, 1/0 & 2/0, 2/0 & 3/0, 3/0 & 4/0 or 4/0 & 5/0.

Please note sizes 3/0 & 4/0 and 4/0 & 5/0 are tied with a 30lb 'Amnesia' snood.

Penneled hooks means two hooks together, which enables you to use a more substantially sized bait.  Put your bait on the bottom hook, securing with elastic if necessary, then wrap your hooklink around the top hook 3 times before knicking it through the top of the bait making sure that both of your hook points are unmasked. For best results, have your top hook emerging from the opposite side of your chosen bait to your bottom hook.
