Rocket Single Paternoster Pennel (Distance Rig with Impact shield)

This rig is tied on 80lb 'Sakuma' rig body and features a 20lb 'Amnesia' snood and penneled 1/0 & 2/0 Aberdeen hooks which clip down to a 'Breakaway' impact shield. This makes the rig both aerodynamic whilst at the same time protecting the bait as the name suggests 'on impact' with the sea. This is a good choice of rig when you want to fish a penneled bait at range.size 1 & 1/0, 1/0 & 2/0, 2/0 & 3/0, 3/0 & 4/0 or 4/0 & 5/0 Aberdeen hooks.

Please note sizes 3/0 & 4/0 and 4/0 & 5/0 are tied with a 30lb 'Amnesia' snood.

Penneled hooks means two hooks together which enables you to use a more substantially sized bait. Put your bait on the bottom hook securing with bait elastic if necessary, then wrap your hooklink around the top hook 3 times before knicking it through the top of the bait making sure that both your hook points are unmasked. For best results have your top hook emerging from the opposite side of your bait to your bottom hook.
